Product Description
Introducing VIRTUAL CLINICAL EXCURSIONS a new breed of workbook that is now a critical component of Mosby and W.B. Saunders' most prominent nursing texts. This workbook contains an extraordinary new CD-ROM featuring a virtual hospital ward with five highly individual patients. Users can review their records, examine them, formulate nursing diagnoses, and plan appropriate nursing interventions. Each workbook lesson has a reading assignment from McCance & Huether -- PATHOPHYSIOLOGY -- The Biologic Basis for Disease in Adults and Children, 4th Edition, as well as activities that involve observing and interacting with the patients in the virtual hospital. The result in a uniquely "hands-on" way to master essential nursing knowledge!

This book might be good for someone without health care or hospital experience, but after I looked through it and read its intended use, I realized that my 7 years of health care experience were probably much better than what the CDs could provide. I didn't even open the CDs.
